Daniela Ryf

Daniela Ryf was born in 1987 in Solothurn, Switzerland. She celebrated her first successes in triathlon early on as a two-time European junior champion in 2004 and 2005 but then needed a few years to establish herself at the very top of the world. After achieving 40th place at the London 2012 Olympic Games, she focused on the long-distance, becoming European champion already in 2013 and world champion over the half Ironman distance for the first time in 2014. Between 2015 and 2018, she won the world title over the total Ironman distance in Hawaii four times in a row and broke the course record in her last victory.
